If booting UEFI/GPT the initial Acronis menu will be a black screen with white letters and a numbered menu to pick from. By this, I mean that if your OS is installed as UEFI/GPT, then you want to make sure you are booting the USB as UEFI/GPT (use your boot override / one time boot menu to verify this).
